Losing Weight and Loving it

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By Janice Elizabeth Small Would you love to lose weight but hate to go on diets? Would you love to be fit but hate exercise? Then you’re in good company. The majority of us would love to find a magic wand which would take all the effort out of losing weight and getting in shape. Yet it’s unlikely that there will ever be a pill, potion or patch in our lifetime that is healthy, safe and delivers on hyped-up promises of effortless weight loss. It seems that there’s a simple choice here - learn to love your shape as it is now (and continue loving it as you get bigger) or learn to love a new healthy lifestyle. But that’s not the whole story. Most weight loss programs expect you to embrace huge lifestyle changes almost overnight. But it’s pretty hard to learn to love a complete lifestyle overhaul so quickly. It’s just like deciding to get married on a first date. You’d have to be lucky to be a good match. It’s more likely that eventually the cracks will show, you’ll regret your decision and you’ll agree to part ways. And so it is with a new weight loss program. You join a gym, try a new tough regime and abandon it with a sense of failure in a couple of weeks. You start a new meal plan, can’t cope with the hunger, miss your normal foods and give up on that too. The problem is that we want instant success (ironically so that we can go back to the lifestyle that made us fat in the first place!) But let me make a plea for permanent weight loss rather than speed. Get to know the new lifestyle, diet or exercise program you’re considering before you decide if it’s for you. Try out the diet, sample the activities and decide which parts you can live with and which you can’t. Try out different approaches, different foods, different ways of fitting exercise into your life and gradually adopt the ones which feel good. The more gradually you build new healthy habits into your life and the more you choose the ones which suit your preferences, the more they will feel comfortable and have a chance of becoming a permanent part of your lifestyle. Build up those new habits one by one, add more and more healthy delicious meals into your repertoire and add a little more activity week by week to your schedule until you have gradually transformed your way of life into a healthier version. As you adopt the new healthier habits you will be delighted with the changes in how you look and how you feel and this will motivate you like nothing else to make further improvements. That is the easy way to fall in love with losing weight. What You Can Do To Save Money With Your Student Loans

Thursday, January 31st, 2008

By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Craig_Thornburrow]Craig Thornburrow Anyone that has gone through college or has kids in college knows that it is pricey, which leads to many seeking out student loans. Just as with any type of loan, it is vital that you do your research to find the best student loans for your situation. Different loans will get you different amounts of money with various circumstances behind the loan. However, there are a few things you can do with any student loan to save money. With student loans, the interest rate is adjusted every July 1st making it difficult to know how much you really are going to have to owe when getting out of college. There is, however, a way to lock your interest rates to avoid having them raised after a certain period of time. By consolidating your interest rates you can have them permanently locked for the remainder of your studies. The next thing to look at to help you save money on your student loans is automatic payment. A lot of lenders will offer you incentives and reduced interest rates when you have your student loan payments automatically deducted from your account. The reason being is that you are guaranteeing the lender that you will be paying the loan on time and in full amount by giving them access to your account. This also makes it more convenient for you allowing you to avoid missing a payment. As noted above, it is vital that you research to find the loan that best fits your circumstances. There are several different types of loans with many different companies as well. Some may offer an option that is more intriguing than others, so you must do your research. By getting many bids and finding out what different companies offer, you will be able to find a student loan that best fits your current financial status. The most obvious way to save money with your loan is to be on time. The minute you are late with your payment the interest rates will go up and your credit will go down. If you do feel the pressure of making the payments on time, make sure to talk to the lender before getting too far behind to see if you can work out an arrangement of some sort. When going through the process of finding a student loan you may feel pressure and find that it is difficult to make a decision. The important thing is that you research and talk to many different companies to find the best fit. By doing so you should be able to find a student loan that best fits your financial situation at the time being. Craig Thornburrow is an Author and Business Owner. Develop A Summer Reading Routine

Wednesday, January 30th, 2008

By Carol Boles Summer is often a time when we let things slide and neglect maintaining any sort of schedule. But this year, try to establish a summer reading routine. It will help maintain the reading growth your children have made throughout the year. Here are a few ways to make reading part of your children’s summer: Commit to setting aside fifteen minutes each evening to reading. Turn the television off and have the whole family sit down and read. Even if it’s reading a newspaper, youre sending the message that reading is an important skill to develop. This is also a good time to read aloud to small children who are learning to read themselves. Visit the library periodically. Help your children select books to read or want read aloud to them. This is also an excellent opportunity to teach your children how the library is organized. If your children are older, teach them how to use the computerized card catalogue as well. If you need help, ask the librarian. From time to time, take excursions to the bookstore. Help your children choose books from the vast selection in the great summer reads displays. While you’re there, set a good example and pick up a book for yourself. Take an interest in the books your children are reading. Ask questions such as: why did you choose that book, what do you like best so far, where does it take place, who are the main characters, what’s the problem in the story, will you read more stories by this author? There’s nothing more boring for kids than long road trips. Make sure you pack books. If your children are small, read aloud to them in the car on the way to your summer vacation spot. If you have older children, have them read to the younger ones. Everyone needs to pack a book, including Mom and Dad. Summer is often hectic with summer camps, sports and family vacations. But you can still establish a daily reading time, and it will be well worth it. Chances are, with daily reading, your children won’t just maintain their current reading levels, they will improve their overall reading proficiency. And won’t that be a terrific way to start the school year next fall? Carol Boles has a master’s degree in Special Reading and an Educational Specialist degree in Curriculum and Instruction. Anniversary Gifts - Fourth Anniversary

Tuesday, January 29th, 2008

By Michael Russell Your traditional choice for a fourth anniversary gift is actually a couple of choices, in addition to the modern gift idea option that you have open to you. So if maybe having too many choices is confusing you and making it hard to decide, hopefully this article will help you narrow it down to the gift that will be just right for your spouse. If you’re stuck in the traditional mold of getting anniversary gifts, no problem. You’ve got more than enough to choose from. Your fourth anniversary gift choices are fruits and flowers. Of course you can give both if you like. Flowers are pretty easy. Hopefully by the time you’ve been married for four years you know what kind of flowers your wife likes. This is not to say that there aren’t some men who wouldn’t appreciate a nice floral arrangement, but let’s be honest, flowers are more a gal thing. Of course if you want to play it safe, you can’t go wrong with a dozen roses. Yes, it’s the common thing to get and there is a good chance that your wife will be expecting it, but look at it this way. If you don’t get it she may be very disappointed. Of course if you don’t want to go with the super obvious, you can always go with either a nice mixed floral arrangement, maybe a nice balloon bouquet, a vase bouquet or even some flowering house plants. With your bouquet you want to make sure that you include some kind of romantic card or message. If, on the other hand, you want to go with fruit, there are a number of things you can do with this one. The basic idea would simply be to order a fruit basket. You can have the fruit basket include some candies and maybe some nuts and other assorted goodies. Another thing you can do is to actually put together a custom fruit basket yourself by going to one of those farms, if you have one close to you. The fruit will be a little fresher than a basket that has already been put together. If you’re more of the modern mind, you might want to go with the modern fourth anniversary gift idea which is generically referred to as appliances. If that doesn’t open a huge can of worms. This is actually a great gift for both guys and gals and the number of appliances to choose from is literally off the charts. You’ve got everything from microwaves to toasters. Naturally, over the years, you probably have most of the essential appliances that you really need. But that doesn’t mean you can’t replace some that have maybe outlived their usefulness or are maybe a little obsolete. After all, technology changes daily. And don’t forget, appliances are not just for the kitchen. You’ve got appliances for just about every room of the house, which includes vacuum cleaners, hair dryers and sewing machines. If your wife likes to sew she’d really appreciate one of those. With just a little thought, you should have no trouble picking out a fourth anniversary gift that is just right. Aromatherapy Healing With Pure Essential Oils and Crystals - Balance Energy

Sunday, January 27th, 2008

By KG Stiles In my last article about Healing with Crystals I shared more of the legend associated with Lemurian Seed Crystals, as well as some of the intriguing empirical data I’ve gathered when using these rare healing crystals in my healing arts practice. From my ongoing research with Lemurian Seed Crystals I have learned that they have an especial affinity for the limbic or emotional part of our brain. The limbic part of our nervous system controls our instinctual response to stimuli. It is the part of our brain that motivates us to take action. Research has shown that we make decisions from our emotions and then justify them with our reasoning. It is through our brain and physical nervous system that the subtle interplay of neuro-chemicals and cerebral spinal fluids takes place creating a vibrational resonance or energetic frequency that prompts us to experience certain corresponding emotions. Contrary to popular belief it is the faster or higher frequency energies which stress us out and trigger such emotions as anger, fear or worry. In contrast the lower frequency energies correspond with our having feelings of well-being and calm. For example in my aromatherapy practice it is the essential oils with the lower, base carrier notes that have a calming effect on our nervous system. Vetiver, Sandalwood, Spikenard and Myrrh are known to have this calming effect on our nerves. Notably they are all wood oils with a more stabile aromatic profile, meaning their scent is more long lasting, making them excellent anchors for essential oil blends. Dr. Candace Pert and Dr. Bruce Lipton have both conducted research into the science behind our emotions and our beliefs. These publications listed will help you learn more about the important ground breaking work they’ve conducted: Dr. Candace Pert, “Molecules of Emotion” and “Your Body is Your Subconscious Mind” (audio) and Dr. Bruce Lipton, “The Biology of Belief.” Crystals are known to have “the” most highly organized molecular structure in nature. It is my experience when working with the Lemurian Seed Crystals that they transmit something like a holographic blueprint of their exquisitely organized internal structure which acts to tune and refine other energetic structures they come in contact with, resulting in a realignment on all planes: physical, etheric, astral, mental and causal. This realignment or restructuring helps our consciousness to evolve so that we are more unified and at peace within ourselves. We become more receptive to the intensified evolutionary forces that are presently at work on our planet earth and can more easily allow ourselves to be okay with whatever is happening. As well when we are at peace within we are more open to receive the guidance available to each of us for making wise decisions. In my next article about Aromatherapy Healing with Pure Essential Oils and Crystals you will learn about the research of Marcel Vogel the inventor of the liquid crystal display (LCD), as well as final thoughts about the Lemurian Seed Crystals and empirical findings when using them in practice. Fast Weight Loss

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

By Kent Pinkerton Today, a lean and fit body is considered a major aspect of looking good. Obesity is looked upon as a curse, which every individual wants to be free from. Everybody is on the hunt for a magic formula that can shed off those excess pounds instantly. Rapid weight loss can be achieved only through a multi-dimensional approach. Diets are a very popular way of losing weight. Low fat diets, low-carbohydrate diets and cabbage soup diets are amongst the popular diets. It is very easy to lose weight by following such diet programs. Deprivation is the main reason for the failure of a diet plan. The advantage of these diets is that an individual is only temporarily deprived from certain foods. The individual is allowed to resume his normal diet after completing the diet program. However, the chances of the person gaining weight again after the diet regime is complete, are very strong. Some of these diets may have other side effects. Some may feel weak and drained out after dieting. Rapid weight loss may also lead to gall bladder ailments and formation of gallstones. The market today is flooded with drugs that promise to burn calories quickly. Several creams and oils are available in the market, which control fat and cellulite. Some products and herbal medicines guarantee rapid weight loss. It is very important to check the authenticity of these drugs and medicines. Some diet pills and diet drinks are promoted with the promise of substantial weight loss. Working out at a gym is a great way to boost energy levels and lose weight. These workouts also enable individuals to achieve a perfect body. Severely obese individuals have a tough time in doing these workouts. Weight loss camps are also actively involved in helping people shed those extra pounds. They have a multi-faceted program designed to enable rapid and permanent loss. They are designed in such a way that everybody has a lot of fun while burning calories. Excessively obese people also have the option of surgery. Health experts advise to weigh the pros and cons of any weight loss program. How To Tell A Test Quiz Before It Bites You On The Nose

Saturday, January 26th, 2008

By Brian Fong Q. My teacher says that we are going to have a test quiz next week. Isn’t that term a bit redundant? What in the world is a test quiz? A. Ah, the wiley test quiz. It’s an odd creature indeed and it is very rarely encountered in the wild. In fact, you are a very lucky student to have a teacher that even knows what a test quiz is much less is wiling to administer one. A test quiz is a preparatory quiz that is given in advance of a major test. Its purpose is to familiarize you with the type of questions that are going to be asked on the major test without revealing the actual questions that will be asked. For example, if you’ve ever taken the PSAT test, then you’ve taken a test quiz. The PSAT test is designed to prepare you to take the actual SAT tests that many colleges require high school students to take before applying for admission. The fact that your teacher is willing to give you a test quiz means that he or she truly cares about you and wants you to do well on the actual test that will soon follow. If you read between the lines, you might also see where your teacher is saying words to the effect of “the actual test is going to be tough folks so I’m going to give you a test quiz, in advance, so you’ll have a better idea what you’ll need to study.” There aren’t many teachers who are willing to take the time to write a test quiz and that’s the reason why most students will never see one in the “wild”. Take advantage of you teacher’s generosity and study well for your test quiz. The chances are you’ll see the same concepts in the actual test that you saw in the test quiz. If you do well on the test quiz then you’ll probably do well on the test itself. If you fail the test quiz, however, you’d better hits the books harder and leave the partying until after the test. —————————————————————- Brian Fong run the popular quiz site http://www.QuizFaq.com Quiz Faq - Your solutions for the quiz. —————————————————————- Article Source: http://EzineArticles.com/?expert=Brian_Fong http://EzineArticles.com/?How-To-Tell-A-Test-Quiz-Before-It-Bites-You-On-The-Nose&id=23197 buy keyword online viagra generic viagra caverta silagra cheap online viagra generic viagra buy sildenafil citrate buying viagra online in britain

How Important is Recruiting Software in Determining the Success of an Executive Search Firm

Thursday, January 24th, 2008

By Kenneth Peck Not Very! You might find that answer surprising, considering I am the president of a recruiting software company. We have been producing recruiting software for 25 years. I have also spent 25 years as a recruiter in the very competitive Los Angeles market. I talk to a lot of recruiters every day who are trying to decide on recruiting software. There is a variety of recruiting software products out there and it seems as if a new one pops every other day. The ERE has a running Discussion group, Finding The Right Recruiting Software, where recruiters can ask questions and get advice from each others regarding recruiting software. I get emailed discussions daily from this group and almost every time someone mentions software that I have never heard of. I get the feeling that many of these recruiters I talk to every day are on the wrong track. They are looking for the secret potion that will turn either themselves or their firm into a super star of the recruiting industry with the slickest resume database and applicant tracking features around. I maintain that if you take a good recruiter or recruiting firm and make them use bad recruiting software, they are still going to be successful. Conversely if you take a bad recruiting firm and make them use good recruiting software they are still going to be a bad recruiter or recruiting firm. When I was still recruiting during the day and writing software at night I worked elbow to elbow with fellow recruiters. I used to criticize the recruiter who was always fussing with the computer and their files. Do you know why? Im guessing you think it is because I am so arrogant that I did not want to listen to anyone elses ideas. You are wrong, although I do like my own ideas! The real reason, however, was that I knew this recruiter was never going to be successful and we would lose money. Time after time, year after year for 15 years, I found that the recruiters who focused on the recruiting tool and gimmicks rather than execution failed. Someone once told me that Vince Lombardi, a very successful football coach, had only about 6 plays. The success was all in the execution! The recruiter who focuses on the execution of the client and applicant call and is always thinking of ways to improve the call is going to be successful. How you identify this type of recruiter is the subject for another article. So, why have I spent half of my life writing recruiting software and trying to make it better? Because I love my work and the creativity of it and I know I can give a really good recruiter an edge. I know the recruiting firm will be successful with or without me but I can make a difference. I truly enjoy working with successful people and the rewards and appreciation mean so much more to me. What makes good recruiting software? This depends on the recruiter or recruiting firm and their business model. There are a number of good recruiting software packages but fundamentally the software must be extremely easy to use, it has to focus on the execution of the client or applicant call and it has to gather information through, what I like to call, the natural process of recruiting. If the software gathers information naturally and easily it will feed into the critical element of recruiting, marketing!Recruiting software must compliment or follow the natural process of recruiting. Notice I did not say the software must be intuitive! You might ask what exactly is natural? If your applicant tracking, staffing or resume database software requires you to perform tasks that you would not ordinarily do then you must question the recruiting software. Now, I have to admit that everything you do as a recruiter might not be considered natural. Natural or not, the recruiting process can be simplified into a few basic steps. 1. Get a job order by calling clients and recording the calls for future marketing and follow up. 2. Research a database or databases for applicants or referral sources that would be a good fit for the job order. 3. Call identified applicants and record calls. 4. Determine the applicant(s) to present and present the applicant(s) to the client. 5. Track the interview process to the point of hire and the applicant starting to work for the client. That’s right, only 5 steps! This is what is so alluring to people thinking about recruiting as a career. But any experienced recruiter will tell you that each of these steps demands a fantastic amount of skill, resources and marketing to be successful. The job of executive search software is to make sure that each of these 5 steps can be performed without any wasted motion. Note that my emphasis is on saving recruiters time and is not on features. I cannot begin to count the features I have reviewed and discarded. They looked like a good idea at the time but simply could not stand up to the daily grind of a recruiter. I have always said that I could take six seniors majoring in IT from any university and come up with a recruiting system in about 6 months. It would then take me about ten years to make it really work for a recruiter. I think everyone would agree that there are many ways to perform the 5 steps. But I like to think of them performed in an ultimately natural process. We only give in grudgingly to the limitations of computer code making the recruiter do something besides talking to a qualified applicant or client. So what would be the ultimate? Have the recruiter sit next to a phone and be told or shown who to call and be informed of the full nature and objective of the call. Have all the information available that might be needed for the call without doing anything but talking. Then when this call is finished all the follow up information regarding this call is recorded without any effort by the recruiter. Then the recruiter talks to the next client or applicant. This is the ultimate goal of any applicant tracking, staffing, recruiting software or whatever else you want to call it. This is what I like to call the natural process of recruiting. To me anything else takes away from the effectiveness of the recruiter. For example, if using a resume database or any recruitment tool causes the recruiter to stop at the end of the day to ‘feed’ the database just to keep the rest of the executive recruiters, management and himself/herself informed then the recruiting system is not natural. The recruiter had to perform a task not related to talking to an applicant or client. The recruiter had to run back behind the lines, count noses, inform and organize for the next assault because the army was in disarray. What if the recruiter miscounts? Notice I have not said a thing about features, even though I have spent half of my life writing them and continue to write them with all the excitement I had 20 years ago. A feature is only valuable if it suits the way a recruiter or recruiting firm works. Also, be careful that you do not get so dazzled with a feature that it takes you off of your successful game. The feature must be an enhancement to what is working for you right now. This is very hard to see and really can only be determined by using the product. Be careful of demos as they can be very misleading. A long trial period is best. If the recruiting product fits your natural style and it is a proven product with a good track record then you are almost home. Almost? Yes, if the product does not allow you to focus on using the database of information gathered for a powerful and deliberate marketing program then keep looking. Marketing is everything in recruiting! Six Useful Strategies for Navigating Career Transition or Job Change [And Other Big Changes as Well]

Wednesday, January 23rd, 2008

By Sharon Teitelbaum Through my own two major career changes, and after coaching many people through successful career change, I have determined six useful strategies for navigating this life passage with skill, perspective, humor, a sense of adventure, and a great outcome. First of all, know up front that few people feel skilled at figuring out a new career or finding that next job. Most people find the task daunting. If you are someone who is used to feeling on top of your game, be willing to be out of your comfort zone on this one chances are, this is not your game. And if you are usually a not-too-confident person, know that in this context, you are not alone in feeling unsure of yourself. These strategies can help. 1. Know this: ITS NOT A LINEAR PROCESS! 2. Network, Network, Network! 3. Be Generous With Self-Acknowledgement and Self-Care 4. Choose Expansive vs. Limiting Beliefs 5. Build and Use Support Systems 6. Stay on the Plus Side Lets look at each of these in more detail. 1. Know this: ITS NOT A LINEAR PROCESS! You will experience less frustration and waste less time if you accept this and dont try to use your left-brain to figure out the whole thing in advance. Allow for surprises, serendipitous connections, and intuitive hits. Be very clear on your intention, stay in action, and listen to the feedback. By listen to the feedback, I mean observe your results. Notice whats working and what isnt. Keep doing whats working. Stop doing whats not working and get some help with it try to figure out WHY its not working, and fix it if its fixable. Stay in action! Did you ever play the board game Clue? Remember the secret passage from the Kitchen to the Ballroom? In a career process, you never know when or where you will find a secret passage! 2. Network, Network, Network! Let everyone know what you are up to, and let them know how they can help you. I mean everyone. Not just your closest friends and your siblings, everyone! That means the people you run into, your neighbors, your hairdresser, your colleagues, your doctor, dentist, accountant, attorney, the folks who service your car, and so forth. Have you ever been able to be helpful to someone who wanted to make a connection of some sort? Have you, for example, ever been able to give someone the name of a great housepainter (electrician, accountant, chiropractor) when they asked? Its an easy and delightful thing to do for another person. Let the people in your life have that opportunity with you. Let them know how they can help you. Is there a company or an industry you wish you knew somebody in so you could talk to them? Ask around. During my own career exploration that eventually led me to coaching, there was a point at which I wanted to deliver some corporate training on issues pertaining to personal and organizational change. Although I knocked directly on corporate doors, my breakthrough opportunity came from a student in one of the music classes I was teaching at the time. She asked me to do training for her staffs on Managing Change. She knew of my interest because I had told the class what I was up to. Of course, if your exploration needs to be confidential, you will need to be more discrete in the way that you do it. Do your networking quietly, but do your networking. 3. Be Generous With Self-Acknowledgement and Self-Care Two kinds of self-acknowledgement are required during a career change. First, you must regularly acknowledge yourself for the hard work you are doing. There is a 4-part cycle that your work is part of: 1. Set a goal, 2. Do the work, 3. Meet the goal, and 4. Acknowledge and celebrate. The fourth part is equivalent to a paycheck and a boss saying to you, Good job. I appreciate the work youre doing! Your self-acknowledgement can be simple and sweet. The second kind of self-acknowledgement involves your getting very clear on as many of your skills and gifts as you can and taking full ownership of them. You really need to be in full command of what it is you have to offer out there in the marketplace. Many people have a hard time owning and claiming their expertise, but its really essential that you know who you are and what you have to offer not inflated, not deflated, but accurate. In addition, extreme self-care is called for, above and beyond the usual level. Career change is hard work, which can be very depleting. You need to keep yourself nourished do more of the things that fuel you. And you need to be sure that there are no places where energy is leaking you need all your energy for this work. 4. Choose Expansive vs. Limiting Beliefs We love to be right. We love to see our beliefs proven true. Those of us who think that people are basically good tend to see the world through that filter. Take a good hard look at the beliefs that are your filter, particularly where they pertain to work, money and opportunity. Do you believe that people like you (your gender, age, level of experience) dont have a chance in the job market? If so, then you will not have a chance because you will not see the opportunities out there for you. Does part of you believe that having money is not a good thing? If so, then you will manifest that ambivalence by not attracting more of it than you already have. 5. Build and Use Support Systems Do not do this alone. Hire a coach, join or form a group, find a success buddy, create a structured arrangement with a friend. Here are the important elements you want in your support structure: you want people who believe in you and in your quest; you want something structured, so that there is a routine to the support. In a structured arrangement with a friend for example, you could set it up so each of you gets a 5-minute check-in to report on what you have accomplished since the last time you spoke. And you need to end by getting clear on what your next steps are for today and until the next time you meet. 6. Stay on the Plus Side If you find yourself in a hole, stop digging. Then start climbing out. There will be some days you feel inspired, excited, and pumped. There may be other days you feel discouraged, tired, and disenchanted. You need to develop a strong witness to these ups and downs, that is, develop a part of you that is able to stand outside the feelings and simply observe. When you can observe your feelings as well as experience them, you have power and options. When youre up, use the time constructively this is a great time to take risks, to talk with people, to be bold. When you are feeling low, it is critical that you recognize it for what it is a feeling and use your skills to get yourself into a more constructive and energetic space. Start developing an inventory of activities and strategies that get you out of these low places. Everyones inventory will be a little different. Some people are uplifted by spending time in nature; other people get lifted out of discouragement by sharing with friends whats going on for them and letting the friends help them. And even when youre feeling low, you can stay in action. It may not be the time to make phone calls, but it can be a great time to do research on the internet, or pick up your suits at the cleaners. In summary, career transition or job change is a challenging life event. Take very good care of yourself during this process do not take yourself for granted. Let others contribute to your quest in a variety of ways. And enjoy the adventure! COPYRIGHT 2000, Sharon Teitelbaum. All rights reserved. Tuesday, January 22nd, 2008

By Jonathon Hardcastle The excess weight around your hips and waistline is in fact the outcome of poor nutrition and low exercise levels. According to scientists, the decreased exercising levels of current busy working professionals have resulted in poor metabolism rates and in many cases obesity. In fact, low levels of metabolism can be a serious problem, as more fat cells remain trapped in one’s body and less muscle tone does lead to various pains and health problems. However, even if you have been witnessing your body’s decade, there is no need for you to panic. Everything can go back to normal as long as your metabolism levels can change. Pilates, is a great way to succeed in getting your body back onto track and your mind off those chocolate-chip cookies you have been craving to taste every night before you go to sleep. In the early 20th century, Joseph Pilates developed a physical fitness system, known today around the world under his name: Pilates. According to its developer, Pilates is a method of using the mind to control the muscles. Since it focuses on the muscles that are responsible for a person’s posture, providing spine support is the main goal of this fitness set. By using repetitive exercises of breathing and spine alignment, Pilates is a holistic physical experience, through which a person’s body learns again how to move correctly and coordinate the body’s movements via one’s mind. Thus, if you wish to learn how to use your body’s abilities and reconstruct your posture and improve your physical fitness level, Pilates is a great method to achieve your goal. Instead of just concentrating on how to avoid eating large quantities of food, you can now concentrate on how to use your breathing to control your muscles and posture. Given the fact that genes do play a crucial role in determining a body’s ability to move, but also its predisposition to handle the excess amount of calories consumed, Pilates can become a great method to improve one’s abilities. In addition, according to recent studies poor eating habits were and low exercise levels have indeed increased the obesity problem, for people of all ages. Thus, the need to find the fine line between eating and healthy living has become immense. Committing to improve your health status by joining your local Pilates team center, you can soon feel happy with your choice of healthy hobby. Pilates can even take you as far as enjoying an ice-cream without having to worry that your weight will increase with every bight or that your muscles will not be fit for an endurance challenge. In fact, performing a simple set of Pilates exercises one can maintain a better metabolic rate and enjoy a healthy living style.
